Bailey surrounded by her family

The heart behind every coat

Bailey’s life changed ours. Her story continues to change care.

Bailey Bug was not created as a business idea. It was created out of lived experience, deep love, and the desire to make one daily challenge easier.

Bailey was born with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy. She was legally deaf and blind and used a wheelchair her entire life. None of this stopped her from radiating love and warmth through every ounce of her body.

Although she never spoke a word, we heard her loud and clear. She never took a step, but traveled through all of our hearts.

Bailey is a daughter, a sister, and an inspiration to us all. In her innocence, she gave us a living model of the qualities we all strive for: trust, love, patience, and hope. Though her journey was full of obstacles, she met every challenge with strength and grace.

“She never took a step, but traveled through all of our hearts.”

Bailey helped us understand a deeper and more selfless love. It was a connection without words, free of judgment, and always full of grace. Her story deserves to be heard and her pure love deserves to be shared.

Bailey’s life was short if measured in years, but long if measured in the goodness and accomplishments she inspired in so many others. Bailey will always be missed, treasured, and held in our hearts.

Her touch has never been so warm.

The name Bailey Bug

A family nickname became a symbol of warmth, style, and safety.

Because Bailey was legally deaf and blind, her family could not ask her to choose a favorite color or animal. They chose the ladybug for her, and Bailey Bug became her nickname.

The Bailey Bug logo brings a ladybug and a wheelchair together inside a shield. It represents the protection, warmth, and care at the center of every product.

What Bailey’s story taught us

Traditional clothing leaves wheelchair users and caregivers to solve the problem themselves.

01

Dressing takes too long

Sleeves, bulky fabric, and seated positioning can turn a simple coat into a difficult process.

02

Caregivers carry the strain

Repeated lifting, pulling, and repositioning add frustration and physical effort to the day.

03

Better design changes the experience

An adaptive coat can reduce transition time and help both the wearer and caregiver feel more comfortable.

Carry Bailey’s impact forward

Bring more warmth and ease to your community.
